APRIL 10, 2017, TAPING – TOMMY RATCHFORD, JR. – “THE LEGACY OF THE CONFEDERACY”
Tommy Ratchford is a criminal defense attorney, historian, musician, actor and author who serves as an officer and member of the Stephen R. Mallory Camp 1315 of the Sons of the Confederate Veterans. His historical work focuses on the Confederacy, Civil War and reenactments. Mr. Ratchford’s book, Murder in Georgia (FTR Publishing, 2010), is a story of the “Civil War and its aftermath” inspired by true events in his family in 1865. He is a member of Phi Alpha Theta national history honor society.
FEBRUARY 13, 2017, TAPING – DR. APRIL YOUNG – “HOW WE CONNECT TO EACH OTHER”
Dr. April Young is a social anthropologist who co-founded New Equity 
Partners, a Miami-based global public interest firm. Her internationally acclaimed work focuses on questions of community engagement strategies, community change in urban areas, and race and gender impacts on health, poverty, technology, housing and incarceration.
Dr. Young has wide-ranging partnerships with public policy institutions, colleges and universities, private foundations and governments, and has published extensively.
